3rd February 2020. University and college rivals battled for supremacy in the 2020 Student Cup Finals at the weekend. In the Men's competition, Coventry University took home the trophy after overcoming the University of York (25-15; 25-20) in the final. Meanwhile, the University of East Anglia, who had the home advantage, beat the University of Leeds (25-19; 23-25; 16-14) to win the Women's competition.

During season 2019/2020, our team was more professional than ever, winning the Student Cup Finals and becoming Student Cup Champions of the UK. This made us the best university out of 160, resulting in our team being invited to compete in the 21st PCU Games in Belgium later that year.
The University of Southampton volleyball club is a growing club that has a team to suit all abilities. Competitive men's and women's teams play in BUCS leagues, the Volleyball England Student Cup and the HVA Grand Prix. Players joining our competitive teams are expected to attend one training session a week, with a potential for attending additional sessions.
It is based on solid foundations centre of volleyball in England. The programme allows both male and female school leavers aged 16-19 to continue their education alongside their athletic development. Students have the opportunity to complete a Level 3 BTEC National Extended Diploma in Sport and a variety of A Levels.
